Sitting on the couch after a long few days of friends, family and LOTS of food. It was the best Christmas my family has ever had! I am needing to detox after so many carbs and sweets! We created so many new memories...so great! My husband and I decided since we just married 3 months ago not to get gifts for each other. It was a great idea although he was so paranoid I had a surprise gift (I so did not!) My mom and stepdad got me a sewing machine! I "learned" to sew over Thanksgiving so I am really excited to give it a try. Here's to making lots of things in the new year!
Side note: My mother is
amazing. We are very close and always have been. She knows me better than I know myself at times! She lives about 3 hours away from me and when we are together I cherish our time so much more than when she lived here. It is so hard to be that far away at times but thank goodness for great technology! I hope to be just half of the mother she has been to me. She is such a great woman. Just pure amazingness.

Well....you did it again! Your mother is a blubbering fool! I read your post and just boo hooed! (shocking, huh?) You are such an amazing young woman and I couldn't be more proud of you Kellie. Thank you for giving me so much credit and praise, but honestly honey...being your mother hasn't been a job..it has been a priveledge. I love you! Happy Sewing!!!
